My primary interest in photography has always been portraiture. I became sidetracked into fashion, location and car photography during a twenty year stint on the London advertising circuit and even worked as a retoucher for nearly ten years…

Having moved out of London to the Silverstone area, I have been able to go back to my first photographic love of taking pictures of people.

My main work tends to be corporate portraits, particularly 'people in their own working environment' but I’m equally happy doing family portraits on location or in the studio. I'm also happy to create portraits for your online presence such as LinkedIn or Facebook.

I also lecture on the BA (Hons) degree courses in photography at Derby University and at NTU in Nottingham. (I have been CRB/CBS checked as part of my lecturing...)

Locally there are numerous family portrait photographers who provide “a one hour session with all your images on disk at the end” kind of service. This is most definitely not my market.

I prefer to meet you before the session to discuss things in more detail, such as where the final image/s will be seen. This way we can tie in the colours in the image with the decor of the room in question. We will work on the images until we are both happy with the results. Then I will take the images away and work more digital magic on them ( I was a retoucher after all… :-) before presenting you with your final prints.

Remember: "Cheap photography isn't good and good photography isn't cheap!" :-)
